We are looking for a talented Legal Secretary.
As an experienced Secretary, you will provide secretarial services to 3 fee earners within the firm, along with assistance to and from 3 support staff.
• Audio typing, preparing and amending letters; emails; invoices; legal documents; etc in the following fields: –
◦Wills & Probate;
◦ Court of Protection;
◦ Conveyancing (minimal)
• Making and receiving telephone calls
• Making initial appointments and dealing with queries
• Dealing with clients both in person and on the telephone and assisting clients in the absence the Fee Earner
• Photocopying, filing and general office duties including opening files and preparing completed file storage.
• Ensuring electronic and/or paper files are updated to maintain an accurate and accessible document.
• Template and Document creation using Case Management System (Insight Legal)
• Ensuring Client and Contact Databases are updated.
• Assisting other staff members; liaising and assisting as appropriate
• Liaising with Accounts Manager to obtain cheques, arrange bank transfers, etc., as necessary.
• Liaising with the Office Manager regarding stationery; archiving; document safe storage, etc.
• Arranging regular Team Meetings (with Agenda) – liaising with colleagues
• Providing reception /telephone answering cover when required
• Opening and scanning the post
What you will need to succeed:
• Previous experience working for a legal practice.
• Fast, accurate audio typing
• Working knowledge of Phillips Transcriber (or similar audio); Microsoft Office – Word & Excel; Oyez Forms; Case Management System (Insight Legal)
• Accurate presentation of letters and documentation, with attention to detail
• Confident and engaging telephone manner and ability to deal with clients.
• Ability to deal with clients, intermediaries, and other contacts.
• Use of the IT systems in the office

We are looking for a talented full time Receptionist.
As an experienced Receptionist previous experience working for a legal practice is preferred but not essential as training will be given. However good organisational skills are key to this position.
Your jobs will include:
• Opening and scanning post.
• Dealing with clients on the telephone and in person.
• Making appointments and Diary management
• General office duties.
• Franking the outgoing post.
• Working in the Archive.
• Filing.
• Making Tea & Coffee
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word & Excel, Case Management System (Insight Legal).
• Unpacking orders & dealing with recycling.
The job will start on a 3-month probationary period.
Salary competitive (depending on experience).
